Basic, interesting and easily accessible Stock Portfolio tool

So i am keep digging and trying to do research and find how can i make money. In the process of doing that i found out about:

Now when you open this, it looks like it's just a finance/stocks/trading news website, but it's interesting that it offers a bit more.

If you see at left hand side of the screen it has Portfolios link.




If you click on Portfolios link, you will see that you can setup a little portfolio and start looking at stock prices really quick. I am impressed.
















Now if i click on BP Plc link it takes me to following screen where i can see historical and current value of share prices.

Right now i have just setup my little portfolio and i am just seeing what and how prices are changing.

I will keep my posts short and informative without boring myself and anyone else!

Life of a novice Trader

So i love my job, happy working hard but i have a little bit of savings which i want to invest. I am writing all this down because i know there are many people in the same situation as i am in.
I have a busy job and life, i cannot spend hours looking at screens and dedicate much of my time. I am a good learner though, so hoping i will be able to make some money while not spending much of my time in front of computer.

My plan is to post here all the things including tips and tricks of trading i will learn along the way. I will also try to add few links of material i will read.

Just to give my background, i am 32, i would like to say i am well educated. I was always interested in shares (not trading), we all say that, but really i was. When i was young my father encouraged me to go and buy newspaper every Sunday and read, but that did not give me any share dealing knowledge. I never had time and understood anything about stock market.

So i feel now is the time i start learning and start practically investing. Right now i think i am interested in Stocks more than Forex. I am not sure why, when i know why i will write a post about it. For now this is my starting point. I am going to do some research and will come back with a post later!
